JAM 2013 Eligibility Application Process & Date Schedule
JAM 2013 Date: - The Joint Admission Test for M.ScJAM 2013 will held on 10th February 2013 [Sunday] in two sessions. Let’s check out the JAM 2013 Test Papers of each session below -
  • JAM 2013 Exam in the 1st Half [9am-12noon] - Biological Science, Computer Applications, Chemistry, Geophysics, Mathematical Statistics.

JAM 2013 Application Process: - Application Forms & Prospectus can be downloaded online from http://gate.iitd.ac.in/jam website from 20th September 2012. Applicants’ may also obtain application forms from the Canara Bank Branches [list of Canara Bank Branch having JAM 2013 application forms] on payment of application fees. The Application Fee of JAM 2013 as follows:
  • Fee for application form from banks / IITD JAM office is Rs.1200/- for General & OBC Candidates [Rs. 600/- for SC/ST/PD Candidates and NO FEES for Female candidates].
  • Fee for online registration is Rs.1100/- for General & OBC Candidates [Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD Candidates and NO FEES for Female candidates].
  • Application fee for 2nd test paper is Rs.300/- for General & OBC Candidates [Rs. 150/- for SC/ST/PD Candidates and Rs.300/- for Female candidates].
JAM 2013 Application Fee Payment through Demand Draft only and should be drawn in favour of “Chairman JAM, IIT Delhi” payable at New Delhi on any bank.

JAM 2013 Important Date Schedule – Applicants’ are advised to read out the Important Dates for JAM 2013 Application; so that they won’t miss out to apply within the dates.
  • Issue of JAM 2013 Application Forms & Information Brochures at Canara Bank counters starts on 20th September, 2012.
  • Online JAM 2013 Registration starts on 20th September, 2012.
  • Last date for issue of JAM 2013 Application Forms & Information Brochures at Canara Bank counters is 20th October, 2012.
  • Last date for JAM 2013 Online Registration is 23rd October 2012 at 18:00hrs.
  • Last date for receipt of JAM 2013 Application Form along with Pay-in-slip & Demand Draft (if any) at IIT Delhi is 30th October, 2012.

There is no age limitations to appear in Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) and for the admissions to IISc Bangalore & IITs [Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur (West Bengal), Madras, Roorkee, Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad & Indore] in the above mentioned M.Sc degree programmes through JAM Test.

Eligibility Criteria for Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM)?
Those who want to appear in the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM Exam) should fulfill the following eligibility criteria of JAM Exam for admission in IIS Bangalore & IITs in India - At least 55% aggregate marks for General & OBC Candidates [50% for SC/ST/PH candidates] in the qualifying degree exam (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined). For candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute(s).

Question Paper format of JAM Test [Joint Admission Test for M.Sc]
Question-cum-Answer Booklet for each of six JAM Test papers will be given to the candidates in the JAM Examination Centre. Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) Test question papers will consist of Multiple choice type questions (MCQ), fill-in-blank type questions, and subjective type questions, carrying weightages of 20%, 30% and 50%, respectively. The objective type questions of Biological Sciences, Biotechnology and Computer Applications in JAM Question papers will be fully objective type. There will be negative marking for wrong answers to the objective type questions in JAM Test. IIT JAM Application Process – How to apply for Joint Admission Test for M.Sc
Application Forms & Information Brochure will be available online & offline during September & October months every year and should be obtained on payment of requisite application fee of JAM [Female candidates are exempted from paying the JAM Application Fee i.e., No JAM Application Fee required for Female candidates]. The duly filled JAM Application Form & Demand Draft along with relevant documents should be sent by Registered Post to 'The Organizing Chairman, IIT Delhi, Block-I, Ground Floor, Hauz Khas, New Delhi-16' -OR- can be handed over personally to GATE-JAM Office, IIT Delhi within the mentioned date.
