As per the Indian Rail Budget 2013; the Clarkage charges & Cancellation charges increased. It means, passengers willing to Cancel their Railway Ticket will have to pay more than before from now on. Clarkage Charge is applicable for Unreserved, RAC, and Waiting List Ticket Cancellation only. At first let’s check out what will be the new Clarkage charges for cancelling unreserved / RAC / Waiting List Railway Tickets from 1st April 2013.

New Clarkage Charges of Indian Railways effective from 1st April 2013
Second Class clarkage charge – Rs.15/- [Previously was Rs.10/-].
Sleeper Class clarkage charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].
AC Chair Car clarkage charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].
AC-3 Economy clarkage charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].
AC-3 Tier clarkage charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].
First Class clarkage charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].
AC-2 Tier clarkage charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].
AC First Class clarkage charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].
Executive Class clarkage charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].

New Indian Railway Ticket Cancellation Charges w.e.f 1st April 2013
Now, let’s check out the new Indian Railway Ticket Cancellation Charges effective on & from 1st April 2013 as per the announcement of Rail Budget 2013.
  • Second Class Railway Ticket Cancellation charge – Rs.30/- [Previously was Rs.20/-].
  • Sleeper Class Railway Ticket  Cancellation charge – Rs.60/- [Previously was Rs.40/-].
  • AC Chair Car  Railway Ticket Cancellation charge – Rs.90/- [Previously was Rs.60/-].
  • AC-3 Economy  Railway Ticket Cancellation charge – Rs.90/- [Previously was Rs.60/-].
  • AC-3 Tier  Railway Ticket Cancellation charge – Rs.90/- [Previously was Rs.60/-].
  • First Class  Railway Ticket Cancellation charge – Rs.100/- [Previously was Rs.60/-].
  • AC-2 Tier  Railway Ticket Cancellation charge – Rs.100/- [Previously was Rs.60/-].
  • AC First Class  Railway Ticket Cancellation charge – Rs.120/- [Previously was Rs.70/-].
  • Executive Class  Railway Ticket Cancellation charge – Rs.120/- [Previously was Rs.70/-].
The Tatkal Ticket Cancellation Charges remain fixed as a percentage of fare at the rate of 10% of base fare for Second Class and 30% of base fare for all other Classes; subject to minimum & maximum as mentioned above.

Remember, this Revised (new) Railway Ticket Clarkage & Cancellation charges will be effective on & from 1st April 2013 as per the announcement of Indian Railway Budget 2013.
