Government of India, Department of Biotechnology (DBT) invites applications from Biotechnology Students for practical training in BioTech Companies for a period of 6-months with stipend of Rs.8000/- per month. Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) 2013 for North Eastern States of India
Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) 2013 is implemented by Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) with the object of providing industrial exposure to the biotechnology students to improve job prospects and to help biotech industry to identify prospective manpower in future. It’s a six months practical training programme that will take place at Biotech Companies who will give selected candidates a stipend of Rs.8000/- per month.

Who can apply for Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) 2013? Only biotechnology students from North Eastern States of India [Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Sikkim] are eligible to apply. The minimum educational criteria as follows- BE / B.Tech / M.Sc / M.Tech / M.V.Sc in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics from recognized University in North Eastern states or with domicile of North Eastern States of India.

How to apply for Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) 2013? Eligible candidates are required to apply for Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) 2013 within the mentioned dates. The Application Form is available online at www.bcil.nic.in website for download. An application fee of Rs.250/- is required in the form of Demand Draft in favour of ‘Biotech Consortium India Limited, New Delhi’. Application Form along with Demand Draft should be sent by 20th February 2013 to

Don’t forget to write your name, date of birth & mobile number on the reverse side of demand draft. A copy of proof of domicile of North Eastern State and degree / final mark sheet attested by Gazetted Officer is to be attached with the application form.
