New Minister Name List of India - UPA-II Reshuffles on 28th October 2012



Few changes have been made in Indian Ministry on 28th October 2012. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has reshuffle the Indian Ministry by introducing few new faces and probably it's the last change before 2014 Election. Seven Cabinet Ministers and also fifteen Ministers of State (MoS) have been introduced and few Ministers have been reallocated in other departments (Ministry). Three Congress Leaders from West Bengal got Ministry of States (MoS). Let's check out the names of new Indian Ministers from now on.

List of all Indian Ministers shifted to Other Ministry on 28th October 2012
  • Shri Salman Khurshid was the Union Cabinet Minister for Law & Justice and now became the Minister of External Affairs of Indian Government from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri M M Pallam Raju was the MoS for Defence and now became the Union Minister for Human Resource Development of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Vayalar Ravi became the Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Kapil Sibal was the Union Minister for Human Resource Development and now became Union Minister for Telecom of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Ajay Maken was the MoS (independent charge) for Youth Affairs & Sports and now became Union minister for Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Pawan Kumar Banshal was the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs & Water Resources and now became the Indian Railway Minister on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Sachin Pilot was the MoS for Communications & Information Technology and now became the MoS (Independent Charge) for Corporate Affairs of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia was the MoS for Commerce & Industry and now became the MoS (independent charge) for Power of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri S Jaipal Reddy was the Union Minister for Petroleum & Gas and now became the Union Minister for Science, Technology & Earth Sciences of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Dinsha J Patel was the MoS (independent charge) for Mines and now became the Union Minister for Mines of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Harish Rawat was the MoS for Parliamentary Affairs and now became the Union Minister for Water Resources of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Kamal Nath became the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs & Urban Development of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri C.P. Joshi became the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Kumari Sailaja became the Union Minister for Social Justice (Samajik Nyay & Swashaktikaran) of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Jairam Ramesh became the Union Minister for Village Development of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri K.H. Muniappa became the MoS (independent charge) for Small, Large & Medium Industries of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Bharat Singh Madab Singh Solanki became the MoS (independent charge) for Drinking Water & Drainage of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Jitendra Singh became the MoS (independent charge) for Sports & Youth Development and Defence of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri E Ahmed became the MoS for External Affairs of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • D Purandeswari became the MoS for Business & Industry of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Jitin Prasad became the MoS for Human Resource Development of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri S Jagatrakshakan became the MoS for Energy of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Ratanjit Pratapnarayan Singh became the MoS for ‘Swarastra’ of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri K.C. Venugopal became the MoS for Indian Airlines of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Rajiv Shukla became the MoS for Parliamentary Affairs & Yojona Affairs of India on & from 28th October 2012.

  • Shri Ashwani Kumar became Law Minister of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Dr. K Chiranjeevi became Union MoS (independent charge) for Tourism Minister of India on & from 28th October 2012. Dr. K. Chiranjeevi is the MP from Tirupati Constituency and became Minister of India for the first time.
  • Smt. Chandresh Kumari Katoch became Union Cabinet Minister for Culture of India on & from 28th October 2012. Chandresh Kumari Katoch is the MP from Jodhpur Constituency.
  • Smt. Kruparani Killi, MP from Andhra Pradesh, became the MoS for Communication & Information Technology of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Smt. Ranee Narah, MP from Lakhimpur (Assam), became the MoS for Tribal Affairs of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Smt. Deepa Dasmunsi, MP from Raiganje (North Bengal) & wife of ex-MP Late Priyaranjan Dasmunsi, became the MoS for Urban Development of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy, MP from Kurnool, became the MoS for Railways of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Kodikunnil Suresh, MP from Mavelikara constituency, became the MoS for Labour & Employment Ministry of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Sarvey Satya Narayana, MP from Malkajgiri constituency, became the MoS for Road Transport & Highways of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Dr. Shashi Tharoor who had resigned from MoS for Ministry of External Affairs last year is back again and became the MoS for Human Resource Development. Dr. Shashi Tharoor is the MP from Thiruvananthapuram constituency.
  • Shri Tariq Anwar became the MoS for Agriculture & Food Processing of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Veerappa Moily became the Union Minister for Petroleum & Gas Ministry of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Manish Tewari who is the Congress Spokesperson & MP from Ludhiana, became the MoS (independent charge) for Information & Broadcasting of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri K Rehman Khan, former Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, became the Union Minister for Minority Affairs of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, one of the strongest Congress leaders of North Bengal, became the MoS for Railways of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury, one of the oldest Congress leaders from West Bengal, became the MoS for Health & Family Affairs of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Ninag Ering became the MoS for Minority Ministry of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Parika Balram Nayek became the MoS for Social Justice (Samajik Nyay & Swa-Shaktikaran) of India on & from 28th October 2012.
  • Shri Lal Chand Katariya became the MoS for Defence Ministry of India on & from 28th October 2012.
