Let’s check out what Kolkata & West Bengal got from Indian Railway Budget 2012-2013. Since, Indian Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi is a candidate of Trinamool Congress Party & elected from Barrackpore (North Kolkata, West Bengal) it was expected to get few advantages & benefits for Kolkata & Bengal Railway service. During the Indian Railway Budget 2012-2013 Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi declares that a New Freight Terminal will be established at Dankuni of West Bengal. A New Railway Museum will be established in West Bengal on the name of Rishi Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and few Special exhibit Trains will be introduced to exhibit the Works & Life of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay next year because of his the 150th Birth Anniversary.

These are the announcements have been made by Indian Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi for Kolkata Metro Railway
1. New Metro Railway Project between Kalyani & Barrackpore. The new Metro Trains between Kalyani & Barrackpore would help the people to come to Kolkata via Braackpore Metro Station from Kalyani easily. Already, in the last Railway Budget Mamata Banerjee had implemented Barahnagar – Barrackpore Metro Railway project. It means, Metro Railway will reach interior areas of Bengal from Kolkata via Dumdum – Barahnagar – Barrackpore – Kalyani.
2. New Metro Rail projects taken in Indian Railway Budget 2012-2013 for connecting Joka & Tollygunge in South Kolkata. Apart from Kalyani-Barrackpore Metro Railway project, one more project has been taken to reach one of the most busiest South Kolkata places Joka from anywhere of Kolkata via Metro. Yes, Tollygunge to Joka Metro Railway project has been introduced and will be established soon.

Let’s check out what are the New Express Trains introduced at Kolkata & West Bengal in Indian Railway Budget 2012-2013 by Dinesh Trivedi. These are the newly added express trains name & routes & schedule –
1. Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Shatabdi Express Train (6-Days in a Week) – New Express Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
2. New Jalpaiguri – New Cooch Behar Intercity Express Train (5 Days in a Week) – New Express Train for North West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
3. Howrah – Raxual Express Train (Bi weekly) – New Express Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
4. Howrah – Lalkuan Express Train (Weekly) – New Express Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
5. Kolkata – Jaynagar Express Train (Weekly) – New Express Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
6. Kolkata – Dibrugarh (Assam) Express (Weekly) – New Express Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
7. Barrackpore – Azamgarh Express Train (Weekly) – New Express Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
8. Asansol – Chennai Express Train (Weekly) – New Express Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
9. Malda Town – Surat Express Train (Weekly) – New Express Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
These are the nine Express Trains were allotted to West Bengal State by Dinesh Trivedi in Indian Railway Budget 2012-2013.

Sealdah – Lalgola Train, Asansol – Adra Train and Bishnupur – Adra MEMU Trains are added by Dinesh Trivedi in West Bengal Railway chart as well. Now, let’s check out the Names of D.EMU Trains added in Railway Budget 2012-2013 in West Bengal
1. Masagram (Burdwan) – Matnashibpur Trains – New D.E.M.U. Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
2. Siliguri – Changrabandha Trains – New D.E.M.U. Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
3. New Jalpaiguri – Bamanhat Trains – New D.E.M.U. Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
4. Katwa – Azimgunj Trains – New D.E.M.U. Train for Kolkata & West Bengal in Railway Budget 2012-2013.
These all DEMU Trains will be available daily.
